Premium safety boot supplier Mack Boots is sponsoring 2GB radio’s “Weekend Detention” Sports Show which airs in Sydney on 873AM between midday and 4.00pm on Saturday and midday and 3.00pm on Sundays.

The sponsorship also introduces 2GB’s ‘put the Boot In’ editorial segment, hosted by Mike Gibson, Darryl Brohman, Steve "Blocker" Roach and Mark Levy.

Mack Boots General Manager Grant Tuckett says this sponsorship is designed to alert the listeners about the stand-out features of Mack Boots and to provide Australian workers with an alternative to the usual range of safety footwear.

“Mack Boots has such an extensive range of safety and non-safety boots and we believe there is not a worker in Australia that would not benefit from wearing one of our 30+ styles of boots”, says Mr Tuckett.

“When it comes to safety and comfort, you can’t beat Mack Boots, so we decided that 2GB was the right forum to tell this to the broader community”.

“And as the segment is called ‘put the boot in’, I guess we couldn’t resist- it was literally made for us”, says Mr Tuckett.

Mack Boots will run the 2GB radio campaign for 5 weeks commencing Saturday 28th January.
