HAWTHORN Football Club superstar Lance Franklin is excited to announce the launch of his brand new range of ‘Buddy’ Boots, which are manufactured by global footwear manufacturer Mack Boots™.

Franklin, the AFL’s leading icon in clothing and fashion, has personally been involved in the design of the boot in conjunction with Mack Boots.

The range will ultimately be available in three different styles, the “Buddy High”, “Buddy Tough” and “Buddy Low”.

Franklin said the “Buddy High” version of the boot was designed for anyone who wanted a recreational shoe that they could also wear as an everyday casual boot.

“I obviously love my fashion, and the Buddy Boot is the perfect addition to everyone’s wardrobe,” Franklin said.

“So many people I speak to talk about the need to have a casual boot that is tough, durable and sturdy.”

“The Buddy Boot range caters for all this, plus has the added flexibility of looking great on and off the court.”

Franklin said he was enjoying his foray into the fashion world away from football, and the Buddy range of boots were a fantastic opportunity to extend himself into this field.

“Obviously football takes up a fair bit of our time, but being able to get involved with an iconic global brand like Mack Boots to design the Buddy Boot has been great,” Franklin said.

Mack Boots are a leading work boot brand and are built like a Mack Truck® and Bulldog Tough®.

Mack Boots Global General Manager Grant Tuckett said he and his team have thoroughly enjoyed working with Franklin and given his natural flair in this area he expects to see the ‘Buddy’ range develop and extend over the coming years.

“There’s no bigger name in footy than Buddy Franklin and we hope that one day there is no bigger name in causal and work boots than ‘Buddy’ by Mack Boots”, Tuckett said.

The “Buddy High” will initially be available in Australia at Rebel, before being sold throughout the UK, NZ and USA in the coming months.
